About Us

Since 2008, The Dance Project has been involved in educating students K-12 and up about positive choices for social dancing. We have taught nearly 6000 students how to swing dance to popular music, hosted more than 40 community dances with instruction for students in grade 7 - 12, coordinated dance lessons in 15 different schools in 6 different Michigan counties, made presentations to numerous community groups, fostered the growth of 15+ student run, weekly swing dance clubs and grown our team of student leaders to more than 700.
