Karen is a communication faculty member at the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, and Washtenaw Community College. She has been a member of Toastmasters, where she has won multiple awards. Karen is also an author and has written a book named "My Cave City Adventures" about her family's hometown. She developed Horse Bits Academy, which teaches children about reading, communication, and leadership. Karen delivered a TEDx talk on finding one's purpose in life. Her family is her most significant achievement in life. She has been happily married for over 20 years to her best friend Scott, and her son Scottie is the light of her life. Scottie gives Karen a new purpose every day. Karen is eager to share her insights on how we can all discover our purpose and think ahead.
