About Us

The Livingston Arts Council (LAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered at the historic 1881 Howell Opera House. Our mission is to engage, educate, and entertain individuals of all ages through arts and cultural activities in the community, while utilizing and preserving the Howell Opera House for creative expression and social interaction. We are committed to lifting hearts, inspiring souls, igniting passion, and championing diversity by serving as a catalyst for arts, culture, historic preservation, youth enrichment, and economic vitality across Livingston County.
