Part Time Flexible Hours Speech-Language Pathologist
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Must have experience and compassion with Autism Spectrum Disorder! We are willing to support in this area.
In this role, you will work with individuals of all ages, primarily focusing on pediatrics, to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. We are looking for someone with 2-3 days of availability for up to 5 hours each day. You are able to choose your hours and where you chart! We have other needs for one day coverage of maternity leave this fall for more hours as well dependent on what you are looking for!
You will collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment results.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
- Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students’ communication needs within the educational setting.
- Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and effective communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech therapy.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech therapy.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies and patient assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.

Work Location: Fenton and Flint. Potential to build your own caseload in Whitmore Lake as well. :)
