FREE Children’s Scary Storytelling at the Howell Opera House

Bring the whole family for a fun and slightly spooky evening of storytelling with the Ann Arbor Storytellers’ Guild at the historic Howell Opera House! Perfect for kids and the young at heart, this free event features imaginative tales that are just the right amount of scary.
Storytelling is a live, interactive art form where talented performers share tales without reading from a script—using only their voice, expression, and imagination. You’ll hear funny, mysterious, and magical stories told in a way that sparks laughter and wonder.
Expect a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere filled with giggles, gasps, and creative fun. Stories are “not-too-scary,” making them ideal for children and families looking for a lighthearted way to celebrate spooky season together.
Free admission — no tickets required!
Doors open at 6:00 PM. Stories start 6:30 PM.
Hosted by the Livingston Arts Council at the historic Howell Opera House.
