6th Annual Women's Health Goes Red Luncheon
On behalf of St. Joseph Mercy Livingston and the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce/Women's Business Network of Michigan, we are pleased to present the Sixth Annual Livingston County Women's Health Goes Red event! Join us for a newsworthy talk as St. Joe's Health Reporter Lila Lazurus walks us through our topic "Connecting the Dots: From Heart to Heel". St. Joseph Mercy Livingston breast surgeon Tara Breslin, MD and Michigan Heart cardiologist Shilpa Reddy, MD will discuss the link between heart and breast health. In addition, Dr. Alex Argyelan, MD, IHA gynecologist will join us to talk about some of the most common health issues facing women today and registered dietician Lisa McDowell, MS, RD, CSSD, will provide valuable information about maintaining bone health and proper nutrition.
This educational event is one of the most sought after events of the year and was initially developed in 2013 in order to raise community awareness about women and heart disease. Over the years, we have spoken with a wide range of St. Joe medical experts about the number one killer of women - from understanding risks to prevention, early detection, sleep and plant-based diets. This year, we are expanding the program to focus on the total woman, and are excited about continuing to grow the event.
Attendance is expected to reach 250+ so please register as soon as possible to hold your spot! A healthy and delicious lunch will be served by the chefs at Crystal Gardens. The event will also feature sponsored tables with giveaways! If you are interested in sponsoring a table at this fun event, please contact Paula Millis at development@brightoncoc.org.
