Join us for a special celebration of Mellus Hospital Heritage Day, presented by the Brighton Area Historical Society and the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce. This event honors the rich history of Mellus Hospital and its lasting impact on our community.
We are excited to welcome Dave LewAllen, a Brighton High School graduate, Mellus Hospital baby, and retired Channel 7 News anchor, as our special guest. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate local history, connect with the community, and share memories of Brighton’s past!
The two-story Georgian-designed building perched on the hill north of town was constructed by Dr. Horace Mellus in 1931 as the first official hospital in Brighton.
