19th Annual South Lyon Area Creek Clean-up and Earth Day Celebration

Please join us for the “19th Annual South Lyon Area Creek Clean-Up and Earth Day Celebration” being held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Volunteers please meet at 400 McMunn Street, at Michigan Seamless Tube and Pipe Company Truck Parking Lot in South Lyon, MI. You are invited to help conserve and protect South Lyon area creeks, streams, and waterways during this community service project.
 
Volunteers will safely remove trash and debris from South Lyon area waterways, working in small groups. Groups will go to South Lyon area sites to work, then return with bagged trash and debris which will go into a dumpster located in the truck parking lot. After cleaning up, lunch will be served.
 
It is strongly encouraged to wear a bright long sleeve shirt, long pants, and rubber boots. Safety vests will be available, including face masks, gloves, and sanitation. Needed: rakes, shovels, pick-up trucks and trailers to haul trash to dumpster. The project is directed by Mr. Larry Ledbetter.
