SUMMARY:LAHRA Monthly Lunch and Learn: Crucial Conversations Workshop Presented by EctoHR
DESCRIPTION:In this fast-paced\, engaging session\, participants will learn the key foundations for Crucial Conversations and how to leverage those with their teams at work. The session involves more than 50% group activity in a true "workshop" format.\n\nKey principles and skills to be covered in this session:\n\n\n	Defining a crucial conversation\n	Reviewing the model from the book\n	Getting unstuck and mastering my stories\n	How we can make it safe to ensure dialogue\n	Moving to action for accountability.\n\n\nThe session involves participants working through a current challenge or opportunity of their choosing and working in small groups to get feedback and different perspectives. While it is ideal if participants have read the book prior to the session\, it is not necessary and all participants will have solid takeaways\, regardless of their starting point.\n\nSteve Williams has worked in the human resource field for the past 22 years\, since graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Economics. Steve's experience includes all aspects of the hiring and employment process. Acting as a true business partner\, Steve maintains a focus on achieving the operational and financial goals of EctoHR's clients. Prior to founding EctoHR in December of 2005\, Steve was the Director of Customer Service for a national Professional Employment Organization\, in addition to holding positions with a payroll firm and an HR-related software Company. He holds the SHRM-SCP certification and earns an average of 20 continuing education credits annually. Steve is an active speaker\, frequently providing engaging presentations to various industry groups and other organizations.
